Getting started

Sprachnest is a daily German trainer for life in Austria and practice for the integration exam at A2 or B1. On first launch you choose the explanation language (Ukrainian or Russian), your target level, the exam date (optional), your pace and a daily reminder. Everything can be changed later in Settings. Settings → Help & FAQ in the app explains every part in detail.

FAQ

Is this the official ÖIF test? No. Sprachnest is an independent app, not affiliated with ÖIF or ÖSD. All tasks are our own, written in the exam format.

Where is my data stored? Only on your phone — there are no accounts and no servers of ours. Deleting the app deletes all data. See the Privacy Policy.

Do I need AI, and what does it cost? No — everything works without AI. If you want AI feedback, add your own Anthropic or OpenAI key in Settings → AI assistant; the provider bills you directly for what you use.

How do I move to a new phone? Settings → Backup → Create backup, save the file somewhere (Files, a cloud drive, a message to yourself) and use Restore from backup on the new phone. Your AI key and reminder need to be set up again.

I missed a day — is my streak gone? Every 7 days in a row earn a freeze (up to 2) that covers a missed day.

Words or Hören do not sound. Check Settings → Voice. The built-in voice works offline and needs no system voices; the system voice needs a German voice installed on your phone. Also check that the phone is not muted.

The microphone does not recognise me. Allow microphone and speech recognition for Sprachnest in your phone's settings, speak close to the phone in a quiet place. In Sprechen you can always type your answer instead.

Reminders do not arrive. Allow notifications for Sprachnest and turn off battery optimisation for the app; open the app once so it can plan the next reminders.

What does the app send to the developer? Crash reports with technical data (you can turn them off in Settings → Privacy) and usage statistics only if you turn them on. Never your answers, texts or progress.

Beta testing

Sprachnest is in beta — anyone can join, it is free.

iPhone (iOS 15 or later)

  1. Install TestFlight from the App Store.
  2. Open on your iPhone: https://testflight.apple.com/join/amnX1S25
  3. Tap “Accept”, then “Install”.

Android (Android 7.0 or later)

  1. Join the testers group with the “Join group” button: https://groups.google.com/g/sprachnest-app-testers — sign in with the Google account you use in Google Play on your phone.
  2. Open on your phone: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.hollybyte.sprachnest
  3. Tap “Become a tester”, then “Download it on Google Play”.

If Google Play says the app is not available, wait a few minutes after joining the group and try again. Feedback is welcome: on iPhone take a screenshot in the app and choose “Share Beta Feedback”, or write to sprachnest@hollybyte.com. How tester data is handled — Privacy Policy, section 7.

Як почати

Sprachnest — щоденний тренажер німецької для життя в Австрії й підготовка до інтеграційного іспиту рівня A2 чи B1. Під час першого запуску ти обираєш мову пояснень (українська чи російська), рівень-ціль, дату іспиту (за бажанням), темп і щоденне нагадування. Усе можна змінити згодом у налаштуваннях. Налаштування → «Довідка й FAQ» у застосунку докладно пояснює кожну частину.

Часті питання

Це офіційний тест ÖIF? Ні. Sprachnest — незалежний застосунок, не повʼязаний з ÖIF чи ÖSD. Усі завдання власні, у форматі іспиту.

Де зберігаються мої дані? Лише на твоєму телефоні — акаунтів і наших серверів немає. Видалення застосунку видаляє всі дані. Див. політику приватності.

Чи потрібен ШІ і скільки він коштує? Ні — усе працює без ШІ. Якщо хочеш оцінок від ШІ, додай власний ключ Anthropic чи OpenAI в Налаштування → «ШІ-помічник»; провайдер сам виставляє тобі рахунок за використане.

Як перейти на новий телефон? Налаштування → «Резервна копія» → «Створити копію», збережи файл (Файли, хмара, повідомлення собі) і на новому телефоні — «Відновити з копії». Ключ ШІ й нагадування треба налаштувати знову.

Я пропустив день — стрік зник? За кожні 7 днів поспіль ти отримуєш заморозку (до 2), яка покриває пропущений день.

Не звучать слова чи Hören. Перевір Налаштування → «Голос». Вбудований голос працює офлайн і не потребує системних голосів; системному потрібен німецький голос у телефоні. Перевір також, чи не вимкнено звук.

Мікрофон мене не розпізнає. Дозволь Sprachnest мікрофон і розпізнавання мовлення в налаштуваннях телефона, говори ближче до телефона в тихому місці. У Sprechen відповідь завжди можна набрати текстом.

Не приходять нагадування. Дозволь сповіщення для Sprachnest і вимкни оптимізацію батареї для застосунку; відкрий застосунок, щоб він запланував наступні нагадування.

Що застосунок надсилає розробнику? Звіти про збої з технічними даними (вимикаються в Налаштування → «Приватність») і статистику використання — лише якщо ти її ввімкнеш. Твоїх відповідей, текстів і прогресу — ніколи.

Бета-тестування

Sprachnest у бета-тестуванні — приєднатися може кожен, безкоштовно.
