1. Licence
Disk Cleaner Inst is licensed, not sold, under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). HollyByte does not impose separate terms on top of it. By downloading the app you agree to that EULA and to the App Store's terms.
2. Disk Cleaner Pro
Disk Cleaner Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks deletion. Scanning is free and always will be: without a subscription you can still scan, see every category and its size, and open any category to inspect the exact items that would be removed. The subscription is required only to remove them.
- Two plans are offered, monthly and yearly. The price for your country is shown in the app before you confirm, and is charged to your Apple Account.
- A 7-day free trial is offered to new subscribers. It converts into a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Manage or cancel at any time in System Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by HollyByte.
3. If you bought the app before
Disk Cleaner Inst was previously a paid download. Anyone who purchased it before version 1.2.0 keeps full use of the app, including deletion, at no further cost and with no subscription. You do not need to do anything for this to apply.
4. What the app does to your files
The app deletes files you select, after a confirmation step. Deletion is permanent for caches — moving them to the Trash on the same disk would free no space — and items marked Review are moved to the Trash so they can be restored.
Photos, Mail, Messages, iCloud Drive, Keychains, SSH keys and .git
folders are refused by every scan, and no setting overrides that. Everything else
is shown to you before anything happens to it.
You are responsible for what you choose to delete. Keep backups: Time Machine or any equivalent. The app is provided without warranty, to the extent the EULA and your local law allow.
5. Privacy
The app collects nothing and sends nothing to any server. See the Privacy Policy.
6. Changes
These terms may change when the app changes. The date above says when this page was last revised. Material changes to the subscription are announced in the App Store listing before they take effect.
