1. Overview
Disk Cleaner Inst (the "App") is a utility for cleaning temporary files on your Mac. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the App processes.
2. Data We Collect
Disk Cleaner Inst does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data.
- No registration or account is required;
- No file contents are sent to the developer's servers;
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs are used;
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
3. Local Processing
All operations are performed locally on your Mac:
- Scanning files in folders you select;
- Displaying file sizes and lists;
- Deleting files only after you confirm.
We do not receive copies of your files, metadata, or deletion logs on our servers.
4. macOS Permissions
The App runs locally and may use:
- Folder selection via the macOS open panel (Mac App Store / App Sandbox) — access only to folders you choose;
- App Sandbox — access limits required by the Mac App Store;
- Optionally, Full Disk Access in System Settings → Privacy & Security. This is not required; without it, some system folders may be unavailable and the App safely skips them.
5. Purchases and Third-Party Data
Disk Cleaner Inst does not integrate with social networks, payment systems, or cloud storage to transmit your files.
Disk Cleaner Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store. Apple takes the payment and keeps the subscription record; the App only asks whether this Apple Account is currently entitled. What it receives is the plan, its expiry date and whether a free trial is running — never a name, an email address, or any payment detail. The subscription terms are set out in the Terms of Use.
6. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
7. Policy Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published at hollybyte.com/diskcleanerinst/privacy.html, which is the address listed on the Mac App Store. The "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.
